OptiBiotix launches new OptiBiome® website for Colombia, Guatemala and Dominican Republic in collaboration with CTC Group

Leading life sciences company, OptiBiotix Health PLC (‘OptiBiotix’) has announced the launch of a new website to support its science-backed weight management ingredient OptiBiome® in Colombia, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. The website was developed in partnership with CTC Group, a distributor of OptiBiotix products.

After the successful launch of SlimBiome.ph and SlimBiome.ph/id for customers in the Philippines and Indonesia earlier this year, the OptiBiome.co website is part of the same turnkey solution and was created to promote the award-winning ingredient in Colombia, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. For CTC Group, it also serves as a digital marketing tool to reach potential Spanish-speaking customers who are looking for a natural and science-backed product that offers effective and sustainable weight management, while promoting gut health.

Dr. Frederic Narbel, Managing Director of the Prebiotic Division at OptiBiotix, commented: “According to the latest data from the Global Nutrition Report, malnutrition, diabetes, obesity and overweight are all issues that have worsened in Colombia, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic between 2000 and 2016.

“The research conducted revealed that in Colombia 26.6% of women and 17.6% of men were classified as obese in 2016. This is an approximate increase of 7% in obesity for both men and women. In the Dominican Republic, obesity climbed more than 10% on average in both females (34.1%) and males (21%). Guatemala fared similar with obesity levels rising between 7% for men (15.1%) and 9% for women (26.4%).
